A little about us

Little & Deen was born from real life — from homeschooling days that were messy, meaningful, and full of learning in ways that didn’t fit neatly into workbooks.

I’m a former pediatric occupational therapist, which means I spent years studying how children’s brains develop, how they learn through movement, play, and connection, and what they truly need to thrive — not just academically, but emotionally too.

When I began homeschooling my three children here in Connecticut, I knew one thing for sure: I wanted learning to feel like an adventure, not a checklist.

I wanted my children exploring creeks, noticing patterns in nature, discovering science and math through real experiences — all while seeing Allah’s creation everywhere they looked. Islamic values weren’t meant to be a separate subject in our home; they were meant to be woven naturally into how we lived, learned, and spoke to one another.

And honestly? I wanted to enjoy this journey.
I didn’t want to spend every night overwhelmed, creating lessons from scratch or second-guessing myself.

So I started creating the resources I wished existed.

That’s how Little & Deen came to life — hands-on, developmentally informed learning packs inspired by Montessori and nature-based education, designed especially for Muslim families who want meaningful learning at home. Our resources integrate science, nature study, emotions, and foundational skills — all grounded in child development and gently rooted in Deen.

As my journey evolved, conscious parenting became a key part of our homeschool rhythm. Learning how to stay regulated, intentional, and connected completely changed how I showed up with my children — and transformed the atmosphere of our home. Peace didn’t come from perfect plans; it came from understanding myself and my kids better.

Now, through Little & Deen, I support other parents who are walking a similar path — whether they homeschool full-time, part-time, or simply want to bring more intentional learning and connection into their homes.

Little & Deen is for families who want:

  • gentle, hands-on learning rooted in curiosity

  • homeschool resources aligned with real child development

  • Islamic values woven naturally into daily life

  • homes that feel peaceful, intentional, and connected

If you’re looking for a more meaningful, grounded way to support your children’s learning — one that honors their curiosity and keeps Deen at the center — I’m so glad you’re here.

Welcome to Little & Deen
