A little about us
My journey into homeschooling is ever-evolving, filled with trial and error, but also with beautiful, enriching moments.
I'm was a pediatric occupational therapist, so I've spent years learning how kids' brains work and how they learn best.
When I started homeschooling my three kids here in Connecticut, I knew what I wanted: learning that felt like an adventure. Kids exploring creeks and discovering science and math while seeing Allah's creation everywhere. Islamic values woven into everything, not as a separate subject but as part of how we live and learn.
And honestly? I wanted to enjoy this. Not spend every evening creating lesson plans from scratch. Not feel like I was barely keeping my head above water.
So I started making the resources I wished I had. Learning packs based on real child development, filled with Islamic values in a natural way. Nature study, science, emotions—all designed around how kids actually learn, and all pointing back to Allah.
And then I got into conscious parenting, which has completely shifted how I show up with my kids. It's helped me stay regulated and more intentional, and honestly, it's made our homeschool days so much more peaceful. Now I support other parents with these tools too, because I know how much they can change the whole atmosphere at home.
That's Little and Deen—a space for families who want gentle, wonder-filled, hands-on learning that's deeply connected to our Deen. For parents who want to follow their kids' curiosity instead of fighting through workbooks. For homes that want to feel peaceful and intentional.
Most days you'll find me and my kids outside, catching frogs, looking at leaves, talking about Allah's creation. Some days are messy. Some days are beautiful. Usually both.
If you're looking for a gentler way to homeschool, one that honors your kids' curiosity and keeps your Deen at the center, I'm so glad you're here.
Welcome!
